Barbados Playgroup - established since 1989
Barbados Playgroup is situated in Pinewood Village Hall in Bordon Hampshire. The Playgroup is a Limited Company by Guarantee, not for profit, run preschool, the operations director is Karen Strudwick.
Barbados Playgroup is registered for 26 children and is open 9.00am to 12 noon, Monday to Friday Term Time.
Following the introduction of a new Human Resource Development Program in 2001, Barbados Playgroup met, at its first attempt, the standards for, and were recognized as an Investor in People in February 2003, the playgroup continues to meet these standards with assessments in November 2004 and November 2007.
3 of our staff are recognised as Leading Foundation Stage Practitioners (LFSP), a Hampshire initiative that recognises the ‘good practice’ carried out by Early Years practitioners in Hampshire.
As LFSP’s we open our setting to other early year settings in Hampshire to share the developments we have made, share good practice and assist with development ideas and any other problems that settings may have whilst they develop their own settings. As part of this work Barbados Playgroup staff regularly present at training workshop across Hampshire.
Barbados Playgroup Ltd is located in Pinewood Village Hall on the main A325 road that passes through the middle of Bordon/Whitehill in Hampshire. The playgroup is situated between the one stop supermarket to the left of us and the postal sorting office to the right of us.
